A printed page has found its way far and wide around the city of hope. It's words written in printed typeset. the first is rumored to have been afixed to the door of a local noble's manor by means of a broken sword's blade.
The letters are gathered and burned as they are found, but copies and word of mouth has carried much of it's contents to the local populace.
People of Myrensis, do not stand for this!
The aristocracy of your lands grow fat feasting on the corpses of your countrymen! They boast with their feast, using their titles and claims as justification to assert their influince on the backs of the heroes. Heroes who spent their blood and coin taking Kelnia from the kur, destroying threats to the people of Myrensis!
Even now the ground shakes with the displeasure of the kingdom. The nobles fight over who gets to wear the fool's crown. The Countess of the north Taxes the roads, all the while eyeing the fortress at Kelstadhe. The good Marquis Van Druzen uses his soldiers to invade neighboring kingdoms. Building ever more arms for his men. For what?
To rule over their broken lands? nay, your broken lands! The lands your fathers fought and farmed, breaking their backs to make it prosper. All thrown away by the hands of dead king Eurenthis Felneous VII. May his memory rot as his body has. His avarice for the lands of the people of Semnus broke us all.
So what now? do you want to stand by and let them do it again? Let the blue bloods take control and they'll build a road of your children's corpses. They can't even control "their own" kingdom. The Owl Men harass the fishermen. the undead clatter about the countryside.
NO! I say. NO to their dreams of power. Look to Lesser Semnus. it's people free of the tyranny. Rulers should be just and fair, and nothing is fair about blood deciding who rules. We are all free people in Myrensis, and there are more of us than there are of them. The Nobility need the Free People of Myrensis to live, to be safe. Deny them this.
Soon my brothers and sisters, we will rise and nothing can stop us.
The Lion of Myrensis is not in the blood, but the spirit of it's people.
-The Mourner
